Did you know? 🤔

Workplace stress is on the rise with 79% of people in work experiencing it with workload cited as the biggest cause of stress. Maintaining self-care in the workplace is essential for your well-being and overall job performance. Here are some helpful hints for self-care in a work setting ⤵️

🌿 Create a chill-out zone! Designate a chill-out zone with natural light to recharge during the day

🧘‍♀️ Try meditation! Meditation is known to help people de-stress and another possible activity for the week

🚫 Set clear work hours! Boundaries prevent burnout, so leave work at work whenever possible

🗂️ Organize your tasks based on priority! Tackle the most critical tasks first and break larger projects into smaller, more manageable steps. This can help reduce feelings of overwhelm

🥗 Maintain a healthy diet by bringing nutritious snacks and meals to work! Staying hydrated and well-nourished can positively impact your energy levels and cognitive function

💼 Foster positive relationships with colleagues! A supportive work environment can contribute to job satisfaction and make the workplace a more enjoyable space

⏰ Develop effective time management skills! Prioritise tasks, set deadlines, and use tools like calendars and to-do lists to stay organized

🎯 Set achievable goals! Avoid stress by keeping expectations realistic. And don’t forget – small victories count!

How do you prioritise self-care in your daily routine?

Amidst our busy lives, it’s essential to pause and prioritise our well-being. Here are some general tips that may help you work toward a more balanced life:

  • Set Priorities! Identify your core values and priorities in different aspects of your life, such as work, relationships, health, and personal development. This will help you allocate time and energy accordingly

Create a workspace in a way that will give you positive energy! Make your Zen workspace + plan your day and prioritise. Also, be careful to create a work-life balance. After hours, go outside for a walk and breathe in the fresh air.” Bianca-Giorgia Hritcu, Talent Acquisition Manager

  • Establish Boundaries! Clearly define boundaries between work and personal life. Learn to say no when necessary to avoid overcommitting and spreading yourself too thin

“Set boundaries, do not mix your personal and professional life, oh and communicate frequently with your work colleagues!”
    Hemavathi Mathadmani, Talent Acquisition Manager

  • Time Management! Develop effective time management skills. Prioritise tasks, set realistic goals, and create a schedule that allows for a balance between work and personal activities

I give myself small tasks that help me stay on track. My inbox is well-organized – including labels. I have shortcuts on my drive for files I use every day. I have set reminders for important dates and a notebook by my side to jot down new things.”  Roberta Pavlicek, HR & Business Specialist

  • Learn to Delegate! It’s okay to ask for help! Delegate tasks when possible to lighten your load. Recognize that you don’t have to do everything on your own, and sharing responsibilities can lead to better outcomes and a healthier work-life balance
