MG Meets Talent Acquisition Manager, Bianca-Giorgia Hritcu

Drive, positivity and motivation! That’s our Talent Acquisition Manager Bianca-Giorgia Hritcu, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of a recruiter, describing her next career move, sharing her proudest professional achievement and great tips on how to be more productive and become your best self!

Bianca’s most productive working environment…

I like to have my own space, where it’s quiet; without distractions, flexible, with a team that will give support and motivation when needed – along with an inspirational leader. So I would say that I am most productive in a growth environment!

Bianca’s thoughts on which is better: Remote workplace or classic office space…

I think that both ways of work have advantages and disadvantages. At the office is good because you connect more with your colleagues and professionally you can learn faster and easier. Working from home is better from a time perspective. For example, with the time you spend on your way to/from the office, you can do something productive, learn something new or you can just relax.

And her best piece of advice for people working remotely…

Create a workspace in a way that will give you positive energy! Make your Zen workspace + plan your day and prioritise. Also, be careful to create a work-life balance. After hours, go outside for a walk and breathe in the fresh air.

Bianca’s responsibilities at Manning Global include…

Creating relationships – both with clients and candidates – to find their needs and what is important to them and serve them in the best way I can.

Bianca’s best thing about working for Manning Global…

I like to meet and connect with people, and through my role at Manning Global I have the chance to build relationships with people from different countries and cultures. More than that, I am people-oriented and I feel that, in one way or another, I contribute to improving people’s lives.

I find my job challenging, dynamic and rewarding and wouldn’t change it for the world!

What motivates Bianca to succeed…

The feeling that what I do can make a difference and that I can help to improve someone’s life.

Zig Ziglar said: “You will have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”

Bianca’s advice to someone considering a career with Manning Global…

Be willing to accept challenges; be proactive; have a “can-do attitude”; always be a team player, and to have the desire to improve yourself every day.

Bianca’s tip for someone who is considering working as a recruiter…

As a recruiter, you have to be people-oriented, like to talk, interact, and build relationships with people.

The recruiter is involved in the whole recruitment process – from beginning to end – and our purpose is to make sure that all parties involved have a positive experience. To achieve this you need to engage your candidate in the most authentic way possible.

Bianca’s thoughts on what makes a successful recruiter…

A good recruiter builds professional relationships based on trust, engagement, transparency and authenticity. Also, they need to be willing to constantly develop candidate and client management.

To summarise, a successful recruiter needs to prioritise daily responsibilities, be productive in stressful situations, adapt, and to stay on top of challenges.

Bianca has a degree in psychology. In her current work, is it helping her to understand people better…

I studied Psychology and I think it helps me to adapt more easily to different cultures and to understand them better.

Bianca’s dream job as a child…

I dreamed of being a ballerina!

On a personal and professional level, the person Bianca respects most in life is..

My wonderful mother! She is strong, independent and full of kindness and femininity.

I am the person I am today thanks to her, and I am most grateful to have her as a mum!

Bianca’s proudest professional accomplishment…

Having the chance to work and grow at Manning Global as a recruiter and achieving a promotion as Talent Acquisition Manager after nine months!

If she could listen to one song for the rest of her life, it would be…

Oh, that is very hard but I think it would be Happy by Pharrell Williams!

Bianca’s hobbies outside of work include:

Dancing! I love all styles of dance – especially Kizomba (originating from Angola) and Kuduro Afro Dance. I also like to read, to walk in nature and to swim.

The best piece of advice she was ever given…

“Jump and build your wings on your way down.” In other words, if an opportunity comes to you but you don’t know anything about it, just say YES and you will learn everything along the way!

Bianca’s special superpower would be:

Giving people what they need, but currently don’t have: a peaceful country, health, food, education, etc.

Bianca’s personal and professional goals for Q3-4 2024 include…

On a personal note, I am focusing on my health. I want to learn to live a healthier lifestyle. This includes exercising on a daily basis.

On the professional side, I am focusing on developing my client and candidate management skills.

Finally, here’s how Bianca plans to improve herself in 2024…

I want to improve my German language skills, so I’ve enrolled on a German course.
