Irena’s Strategy for Organization and Productivity
Creating a dedicated workspace has been crucial for Irena’s productivity. She’s designed a specific area in her home for work, helping her mentally transition into the day’s tasks. “I dedicated part of my house for work only so I can “go” to the office every morning.”

Despite the distance, Irena never feels disconnected from her team. Thanks to Manning Global’s tech-driven communication tools, staying in touch is effortless. “Because Manning Global is incorporating all the high-tech features of communication in our daily routine, I have a constant and open communication channel with my colleagues so I cannot say that I feel isolated in any way.”

For Irena, conflict resolution and stress management boil down to honest conversations. “As in my personal life, my strong opinion is that everything can be solved by calm and honest talk, I implement the same tactics while at work, and of course for everything else there is a team leader.”

Balancing Personal Life and Relaxation
Outside of work, Irena’s home life keeps her on her toes. “I have a husband, son, and a dog so my time to relax starts not when I step out of my home office, but when I manage to put them all to sleep. Then it is time for a nice glass of wine and Netflix! Weekends are reserved for outdoors, and occasional girls’ night out. A good concert and stand-up comedy are things that can always get me out of the house.”

Reflecting on her five-year journey at Manning Global, Irena offers valuable advice: “Listen carefully, learn from everyone but use only the positive.
Do not hesitate to grab opportunities but also never create opportunities that can hurt someone else. If the company is healthy your effort will always be recognised.
I am proud to say that I just celebrated my 5-year anniversary in Manning Global!”
Early Career
Before joining Manning Global, Irena began her career in sales at Jadrolinija, one of Croatia’s oldest shipping companies. “I worked briefly in a company named Jadrolinija, which is one of Croatia’s oldest shipping transport companies. I worked in sales, mainly focusing on ferry tickets.”
