Happy National Creativity Day

Today, we honour the boundless potential of the human imagination and the transformative power of creativity. Whether through art, music, writing, or any other form of expression, creativity enriches our lives and shapes our world in remarkable ways. Let’s meet some inspiring individuals and glean some tips to spark our own creative flames!

Dan Underwood, Career & Business Coach, is not just about coaching but also a talented landscape photographer!

“Few people know that I have been a landscape photographer since my teenage years, mostly specialising in panoramic landscapes. Also that I had a feature in a national newspaper which showcased some of my selected works leading to a public exhibition of my works back in 2016 which featured 55 canvases! Some of which are now exhibiting in a local business centre and others in the public areas of the building I live in!

I sometimes post my recent works on my Instagram account for a few fans and followers of my work.”

Kevin M. Dulle, Visual Translator, turns abstract ideas into visual masterpieces:

“When translating abstract concepts or ideas into a tangible artifact, it is necessary to rely on metaphors and visual elements that are relatable and quickly identifiable to everyone involved. In addition, the images need to be illustrated simply and clearly so that concepts are approachable.

Abstract ideas are fundamentally intangible and intangibles can be easily misinterpreted by the listener or reader. Having relatable images can clarify and organise ideas so that others understand and can act appropriately.”

And meet Sheza Marinova, Graphic Designer at TikTok, channeling her passion into impactful projects:

“Being a Graphic Designer at TikTok is an absolute privilege and a truly fulfilling job for me. I have the ability to convey important messages through my work on projects like Pride, Black History Month, The Creator Council and many more. It’s an amazing position that allows me to create work that celebrates diversity and empowers communities.

As a child, I loved art and painting and so I knew I wanted to work in the creative industry. When I was choosing my career path I found out that being a Graphic Designer would provide me with the opportunity to work on projects that can make a positive difference in the world and in return give me a real sense of purpose.”

Now, let’s fire up our own creative engines with these simple tips:

1. Stay Curious: Keep exploring new ideas and experiences. Curiosity is the fuel for creativity.

2. Try New Things: Don’t be afraid to experiment. Take risks and see where they lead.

3. Find Inspiration: Surround yourself with things that inspire you, whether it’s nature, art, or music.

4. Collaborate: Two heads are better than one! Work with others to bounce ideas around and see what sticks.

5. Keep Going: Embrace setbacks as learning opportunities. Stay resilient and keep pushing forward.

Whether through big ideas or small acts of imagination, let’s continue to cultivate creativity in our lives and share it with the world. Happy creating! 🎨
