Say an e-hello to Manning’s newest member of Team Marketing, Aneta Madzarevic! Read on to find out her thoughts on remote working, feature writing and how to stay motivated and produce your best work during the pandemic…
Firstly, how are you feeling? What’s it like to be working remotely – how has your routine / work changed?
I’m well, thank you. I really enjoy working remotely. My opinion is that a job should provide inner peace and safety for a person, and this role gives me all of this and more! Plus, I have enough time to do lots of things without too much noise distracting me. Perfect.
In what environment do you feel most productive/comfortable to work?
That would be a cozy corner in my room, where I can work in peace and drink my coffee. Or in a lounge chair on my balcony. I love to be outside when the weather is nice.
Any advice for people working remotely?
People should appreciate working remotely since not all jobs give the possibility of working from home. As for advice, be sure to make your space comfortable so you can work in peace.
What does your role at Manning Global mostly entail?
I assist the Talent Support team with administrative tasks and also support the Marketing team. This includes research for social media, translations, captions, idea generation and lots more. My favourite part of the job is writing features for the Manning Global blog.
What is the best thing about your job at Manning Global?
Gaining new skills and adding experience every day. Of course, I still have many things to learn, but I am on the right path.
What motivates you to succeed?
Well, other successful people motivate me – they have an energy that makes you realise how vital success is in our lives!
What was your dream job as a child?
I love writing; I started writing a diary when I was a child, so I saw myself as a writer… It’s never too late to write a book!
What was your first job?
My first job was as a bartender. It was a good experience, especially as I now know how to make a great cocktail!
What’s your proudest professional accomplishment?
When I got this job at Manning Global – I’m very grateful for that.
If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol: “We’ll do it all; everything, on our own”.
Finally, what are your hobbies outside of work?
I like travelling, seeing new places, and taking pictures with a film camera. Reading books, and sometimes when I have inspiration, I love to write. Besides that, I try to live a healthy life, so I go to the gym as regularly as possible. Also, in my free time, I do some volunteering.
