Four super-skills you should demonstrate at an interview

  1. Leadership You need to display how you lead and develop individuals who think and act differently together as a unified team. Make your examples come to life; talk to your prospective employer about specific individuals whose careers you have helped and the ways in which you have assisted their development.
  2. Be clear on the KPIs The two key metrics that should never be ignored are probability and customer satisfaction. Describe how you have influenced these areas, paying particular attention to brand value.
  3. Failing is fine, as long as you learn faster! Learn from military personnel who de-brief after every mission to analyse tactics so you don’t make the same mistake again.
  4. Know your stats Revenue, margin, ROI, CRO – you need to be in the know – so be sure to swot up before the interview!
