When it comes to multitasking, Sibila’s more flexible than an olympic gymnast, which is pretty apt as this was her dream role as a child! However, after studying organisational psychology at Uni, the girl from Split found her true calling in staffing and recruitment. On the eve of her first year working anniversary with the company, Sibila opens up to Manning Global about the culture in the Zagreb office, her favourite ever song and the most essential piece of advice she’s ever been given…
Hi Sibila, what made you choose recruitment as a career?
Well, I’ve always had an interest in recruitment, ever since my Uni days. Finding that common connection between people and developing business relationships really suits my personality.
What does your role at Manning Global mostly entail?
My role has changed a lot over the past two months since I was ‘on site’ for our client. Now my tasks are mostly building relationships with clients, account management through delivery of staffing services, plus headhunting and growing a talent network etc.
What’s the best thing about your role at Manning Global?
No day is ever the same! It’s a very dynamic working environment – which I love – as it keeps my motor running!
What qualities do you need to succeed as a Junior Project Consultant at Manning Global?
Attention to detail – so you can spot a good opportunity / profile – organisation, persistence and resourcefulness.
You’re based in the Zagreb office, how would you describe the culture there?
Energetic, and made up of lots of lovely, dedicated and truly driven people. It’s definitely a unique place to work – I love it!
What is your advice to someone considering a career with Manning Global?
Send us your application today! 🙂
You’re originally from Split in Croatia, what made you move to the capital, Zagreb?
Well, for starters, it snows in Zagreb, which is still exotic for me! 😉
What was your dream job as a child?
I was a gymnast when I was young and my idol was Nadia Comaneci! Nowadays I’m too tall for it, plus recruitment is a lot less dangerous!
What was your first ever job?
This one – I came straight out of University.
What’s your biggest professional goal this year?
To create strong accounts and build new opportunities.
What’s your proudest professional achievement?
Probably getting the chance to work ‘on site’ for a client for six months after only three months of being with Manning Global – it meant a lot that the management could see my potential.
Name your coolest work trip…
Although a little cliched, I’d have to say Paris, it’s simply beautiful!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I like to go out and have fun, try new food, and travel as much as I can. Oh, and I also adore fashion, beauty, gaming nights and cinematography.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t measure yourself with someone else’s ruler.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I would live forever.
Finally, what is your life motto?
Own your own story.
